How the Orca swim trainer works
Experience a water adventure with your Orca swim trainer.
The Orca Swim Trainer has been designed to support a young swimmer in the water while leaving their arms and legs free to move, explore and respond.
Unlike fixed-support swimwear, the Orca contains 9 removable floats. This allows the amount of support to be gradually adjusted as the swimmer's movement, strength and swimming ability develop.
Support isn't the destination. It's the starting point.

TRUNK-CENTRED SUPPORT
The floats provide support around the swimmer's body, while keeping the arms and legs free.

9 REMOVABLE FLOATS
The amount of support can be adjusted to suit the individual swimmer and reduced as they develop.

FREEDOM TO MOVE
Swimmers can kick, reach, turn, balance and propel themselves through the water.

Learning happens through movement
• Balance • Rotation • Propulsion • Direction • Coordination • Body position
Children don't learn to swim simply by being held in the correct position. They need opportunities to experience what their own movements do in the water.
With the freedom to move, swimmers can begin to explore:
They can try a movement, experience what happens, make an adjustment and try again.
The Orca provides support while still allowing those important movement experiences to happen.

Support that can change with the swimmer
Every swimmer is different.
The Orca's 9 removable floats allow the level of support to be adjusted rather than giving every swimmer the same fixed amount.
Progress isn't about removing floats as quickly as possible.
It's about observing the swimmer and adjusting the support when they are ready for a new challenge.
There is no race to remove all 9 floats. The aim is to provide the level of support that gives each swimmer opportunities to move, explore and develop.

Getting the Perfect Fit
The Orca is designed to fit snugly and securely against the swimmer's body. The correct fit helps the support system work as intended while allowing the swimmer's arms and legs to move freely.
Choose a size based on your swimmer's current measurements, rather than selecting a larger size to grow into.
